Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has required that Gazprom continues gas relationship with Ukraine only once all the necessary documents are signed, according to RBC. Medvedev made this statement at a meeting with Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller, the Vesti channel reported. "Of course, we are interested in resuming gas transit as soon as possible. However, I want you to bear one thing in mind when solving this problem: everything can be done only with the signed document in place," the President emphasized. "Unfortunately, we have no trust in Ukraine any more."

At the same time, Miller said that gas supplies to Europe would be continued once the international monitoring deal is signed. "We believe, a protocol establishing an international independent mechanism for ensuring Russia`s gas transit via Ukraine will be inked some time today. And right then, gas supplies will be resumed," the Gazprom CEO stressed.
