The head of Ukraine`s state-run energy company said on Friday that gas talks with Gazprom had so far made no progress, Reuters reported.

"In giving my assessment of the past two days, I would like to say that there has so far been no progress in talks with our Russian colleagues," Naftogaz chief Oleh Dubyna said in a statement. He is currently in Russia for talks with Gazprom, the statement said.

"I have the feeling that the Gazprom representatives do not have sufficient authority or mandate to sign any contracts with the Naftogaz delegation," Dubyna said. "At the moment the talks are empty and the Russian delegation looks unready for the continuation of negotiations."
