Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov also congratulated the staff of the National Guard.
"With unbending courage and sacrifice, standing firm for Ukraine, you showed other patriots how one can and should love their Motherland," said Turchynov, according to the NSDC press service.

Turchynov is convinced that a strong Ukrainian army, a strong National Guard equipped with the most modern weapons, is the force that can truly stop the enemy, being the guarantee of peace and security throughout Europe.
As UNIAN reported, the Day of the National Guard of Ukraine was established by a presidential decree of March 18, 2015.
