Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko accuses Party of Regions leader Victor Yanukovych of driving to bankruptcy two the most important aircraft-building enterprises of the country – Kyiv Aviant and the Kharkiv Aircraft Plant.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, Yulia Tymoshenko claimed this opening the government’s session on Wednesday.
“Unfortunately, the government of Victor Yanukovych and the previous authorities drove to bankruptcy both the plants that are on the final stage of assembly – the Kharkiv Plant and the Kyiv Aviant – both of them were driven to an absolute destruction and bankruptcy”, the Prime Minister emphasized.
According to her, each of the enterprises has arrears up to 2 billion hryvnias, and the arrears cannot be paid off. “The money were channeled as an advanced payment for planes, but they were spent by previous directors of the plants appointed by the Party of Regions, and the plants were completely destroyed. We replaced the leadership, and the new directors began setting the plans on their feet”, the head of government noted.
