Government plans to increase minimum wage by 18% - Tymoshenko

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko claims that the government plans to increase the minimum wage by 18% during the year 2009.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, she claimed this Thursday delivering a speech in the Ukrainian parliament.
“The volume of the annual minimal wage in 2009 compared to the year 2008, is planned at the level plus 18%, and in the budget sphere – plus 8.8%”, she said.
“This is despite the crisis tearing the country”, the Prime Minister stressed.
