The State Property Fund of Ukraine studies opportunities for participation of Deutsche Telekom (Germany), Turkcell (Turkey), and Magyar Telekom (Hungary) in the contest on sale of the 67.79% shareholding of Ukrtelecom OJSC.

Acting head of SPFU Dmytro Parfenenko claimed this Monday evening in an interview with TV 5 Kanal.

According to him, as of today, the State Property Fund also studies opportunities of participation in the contest of such international financial institutions as Raiffeisenbank, Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Transport and Communication Minister of Ukraine Yosyp Vinskiy disclosed to journalists on February 4 that Ukraine plans to carry out privatization of Ukrtelecom OJSC as early as in March of the current year.

Ukrtelecom OJSC is a leading national communication operator. It is a monopolist at the market of fixed local communication, occupies more than 80% of the market and has more than 10 million subscribers.
