Ukrainian film director Oles Yanchuk has won the first prize of Henri-Langlois (the European nomination) for his film Famine-33 at this year’s Vincennes Cinema Festival in France on February 3.

O.Yanchuk claimed this to a press conference in UNIAN, adding that Famine-33 was the first feature film, which raises the topic of the Great Ukrainian Famine – the Holodomor, and was produced in Ukraine.

According to him, Famine-33 was included into the school program in Ukraine.

Besides, he said, the film will be translated into several languages, including Russian.
