Today President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko celebrates his 55th birthday.
He was born on February 23, 1954, in Khoruzhivka village of the Sumy Oblast in the family of teachers.
He graduated from the Ternopil Financial Economic Institute in 1975. He is an academician of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine, academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Economic Cybernetics.

During 1993 – 1999, he was chairman of board of the central bank of Ukraine.
During 1999-2001 – Prime Minister of Ukraine.
He was a member of parliament of IV convocation.
In December of 2004 Victor Yushchenko was elected as the President of Ukraine.
He is married to Kateryna Mykhaylivna Yushchenko, has five children and two grandchildren.
