Top deputy Kyiv Mayor Yevhen Chervonenko claims that the introduction of paid parkings for taxi and quotas on the number of cars will become a first step towards introducing an order into the current “anarchic” taxi market in Kyiv.
He said this to Kommersant-Ukraine daily dated February 24, #32, commenting on the intent of the Kyiv City State Administration to introduce payment for taxi parkings.
According to the information of the newspaper, in line with the resolution #152 of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), the Main Transport Department of KCSA was commissioned to determine the number of taxi cars and parkings. The resolution plans to work out a payment for taxi parkings, and places where they will be situated.
Besides, a working group, headed by Ye.Chervonenko, was formed to study the taxi activities in Kyiv.
