“During the last months it is necessary to solve all problems concerning preparation of Ukraine’s accedence to WTO”, Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych stressed while addressing the session of the Coordination Council of parliamentary groups coalition and the Cabinet of Ministers, according to the press-office of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
According to him, the Verkhovna Rada shall accelerate consideration and passing of the bills on obtaining WTO membership. “Passing these bills will enable Ukraine to accede to the World Trade Organization in January-February 2007”, Viktor Yanukovych noted.
In addition to the preparation process of Ukraine’s accedence to WTO the Coordination Council has also considered the draft bills “On grounds of inner and foreign policy of Ukraine” and “On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine on procurement of goods, works and services at public funds” and organizational issues.
The Prime Minister noted that the Government would actively promote passing of these bills inasmuch as they would organize the authorities’ activity.
