The majority of Ukrainian citizens believe that the events in the state develop in wrong direction, they felt the influence of economic crisis on themselves; that is why the protest attitudes rose twice compared with December 2008.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, director of the sociological service of the Ukrainian center of economic and political researches of Razumkov Andriy Bychenko disclosed this today, having publicized the results of the poll of Ukrainian citizens about power, politicians and situation in the country.

Analysis of the received results indicated that some 4% of respondents believe that situation in Ukraine develop in right direction. However, some 85.3% of those polled have opposite opinion. According to the words of expert, these indicators has not changed from December of last year and from one side the indicators are good because they show some stability, but from other side the indicator are bad because it stabilized at very low level.

The central power bodies have insignificant support, some 63.7% of those polled do not support the work of the government, some 70.3% of those polled do not support the work of the Verkhovna Rada, some 72.7% of those polled do not support the work of the President and some 74.9% of respondents do not support the work of the NBU.  Some 2.2% of respondents support the work of the government, some 2% of those polled support the work of the President, some 0.9% of those polled support the work of the National Bank and some 0.6% of those polled support the work of the Verkhovna Rada.

Majority of those polled (some 83.2%) also confirmed that economic crisis influenced them personally compared with December 2008 (some 73.8%). Among consequences, which influenced most of all on their lives are price and tariffs rise (some 68.5% of those polled), decrease of income level  (some 44.8%) and decrease of confidence in tomorrow’s day (some 43.7% of those polled) and worsening of food quality (some 39.4% of those polled).

The number of respondents, who are ready to take part in protest actions, rose twice compared with December of last year. Particularly, some 42.2% of those polled are ready to take part in one of legal forms of protest (rallies, demonstrations, strikes ect), (compared with December – some 26.6%), some 23.8% of those polled are ready to take part in one of illegal form of protest (unauthorized rallies, blocking of transport movement ect) (compared with December – some 17.5%).

At the same time some 46.8% of those polled are not to take part in any form of protest (compared with December – some 17.5%).

 

The poll of Ukrainian citizens about power, politicians and situation in the state was carried out by the sociological service of Razumkov’s Center form February 27 to March 5. 2012 respondents aged over 18 years in 129 settlements of all Oblasts and Crimea AR were polled. The error margin makes up 2.3%.
