36th International Film Festival Molodist opened in Kyiv
This year’s opening ceremony film is Paris, je t`aime.
Victor Yushchenko has opened the 36th Kyiv International Film Festival “Molodist,” which is being held under his patronage, according to the President`s press-office.
In his speech, the President said the prominent feature of the festival was its ability to reflect the most topical trends of the movie industry.
“Every year, the festival becomes more European,” he said.
Mr. Yushchenko thanked its organizers, particularly Molodist Director Andriy Khalpakhchi, for their commitment and efforts.
He presented a Scythian Deer statuette to Iryna Skobtseva and her son, Fedir Bondarchuk, the two members of the Bondarchuk cinematographic dynasty, for their contribution to art. Then he spoke with members of the jury.
This year’s opening ceremony film is Paris, je t`aime (Paris, I love you).
