Ukraine wishes luck to national deflympic team ahead of Samsun trip
A solemn ceremony was held at Kyiv’s Poshtova Square on the right bank of the Dnipro river where the national deaflympic team was cheered before its departure for the XXIII Summer Deaflympics that will take place in Turkey’s Samsun July 18-30.
Almost 5,000 deaf athletes and those with impaired hearing from 109 countries will attend the Games.
National Deaflympic Team Ukraine (together with their coaches and staff) will be the largest Ukraine has ever deployed, with its delegation amounting to 290 members.
