A recent deal between the European Union and Ukraine to overhaul Ukraine`s pipeline network should be studied to take into account Russian interests, Germany`s Economy Minister said on Tuesday, Reuters reported.
"I think what was recently agreed upon in Brussels should once again be re-examined critically. We must find a solution that includes Russia," Karl-Theodor Zu Guttenberg told reporters.
Russia, which supplies a fifth of Europe`s gas needs through Ukraine`s pipelines, has expressed anger that it was not consulted when the deal was signed.
