C.bank and government determined first banks for recapitalization
Seven banks will be recapitalized
The central bank of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine have determined the first seven banks for recapitalization.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, c.bank chairman V Stelmakh said this to journalists on Thursday.
“We worked yesterday till 10 p.m. and determined approaches, principles, and their pragmatic implementation begins today”, he said.
He noted that the banks that were chosen (at the same time, he did not specify these banks), will be recapitalized first of all, and later, the list of such banks may be replenished.
According to V.Stelmakh, the central bank has already passed the list of banks to the government.
At the same time, the central bank chairman added that the government asked to introduce a temporary administration in the banks, which will be recapitalized. “At present we are choosing [administrators]. We will introduce them in the banks, where there was no [temporary administration]”, V.Stelmakh said.
