Police expose illegal rehab in Sumy region
Police operatives in Sumy region have exposed an organization that had allegedly been engaged in pseudo-treatment of drug and alcohol addicted persons, illegally depriving them of liberty, the communication department of the Sumy region police told UNIAN.
Friday morning, searches are being conducted in several branches of the organization, whose personnel, without any permits and relevant medical licenses, have unlawfully held over 20 drug and alcohol addicts under the false pretext of their treatment and rehabilitation.
The organization received for its 'services' from UAH 5,000 to UAH 10,000 every month from every such 'patient', thus misleading families of victims with promises and hope for the speedy recovery of their loved ones.
