The Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea proposes the governments of Ukraine and Russia to form a permanent commission to work out a program of mutually beneficial collaboration between the two countries.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Crimean lawmakers are alarmed with the fact that “numerous developed economic relations with Russia were torn” during the years of the Ukrainian independence. “Relations between Ukraine and Russia have significantly deteriorated”, the Crimean parliament claims.

The parliament of the autonomy believes that “to solve macro-economic tasks and to carry out large-scale projects”, Ukraine and Russia should join forces.
