President initiates increase of number of budgetary scholarships

President Victor Yushchenko informed that in the process of revision of 2009 State Budget he would initiate increase of the number of state financed scholarships for students of secondary and higher educational facilities, according to the President`s press-office.

He explained that revision of 2009 Budget should “not only rationalize expenditures, but present a new national policy in a number of branches, including education”.

Beside that, President Yushchenko stressed, saving on education and science is wrong in modern world
