Deputies of the Lugansk and Mykolayiv Oblast Councils demand to eliminate Yevhen Dudar’s story “Little Red Riding Hood” from the school program and from the Ukrainian Literature textbook for the 8th form, because it is contrary to common moral norms.
The Oblast Councils adopted respective addresses to state power bodies.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, in particular, deputies of the Mykolayiv Oblast Council called Ye.Dudar’s story “nothing but a propaganda of low morals, roughness, swagger, and lack of education”.
In their opinion, “pupils will study the behavior of Little Red Riding Hood, a positive heroine of Charles Perro, on the basis of an absolutely low-level work of Ye.Dudar”.
UNIAN note. The Ukrainian Literature textbook for pupils of the eighth form comprises a satiric story by Yevhen Dudar “Little Red Riding Hood”. The main heroine of the story smokes, drinks alcohol, rides the wolf, and demand money from her grandmother.
