On the suit of the Chernihiv organization of “Svoboda” All-Ukrainian Union, a court forbade the use of Soviet symbols during celebration of the Victory Day (on May 9) in the Pryluky district of the Chernihiv Oblast.
According to Svoboda’s press-service, the Pryluky city district court of the Chernihiv Oblast, having considered the suit from the organization, declared invalid the District Council’s resolution “On the Use of Second World War Symbols on the State Holiday of the Victory Day”, passed on April 15.
In particular, the court forbade the Pryluky District Council and all subjects, listed in its resolution, to perpetrate any actions aimed at violation of the mentioned-above court ruling.
