Voronenkov’s widow reacts to reports on investigation’s conclusions in assassination probe
The widow of ex-State Duma MP Denis Voronenkov, Maria Maksakova, has thanked the Ukrainian investigators for completing the probe into the murder of her husband in the center of Kyiv.
"I am infinitely grateful to the investigation for the work done and for the support of all caring people.Life is worth fighting for the truth and against evil because otherwise, we accept impunity and permissiveness of all scum," she wrote on Facebook.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on October 9, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko reported that the person who ordered the murder of former State Duma Deputy Denis Voronenkov was Russian criminal boss Vladimir Tiurin.
Yuril Lutsenko also said the Ukrainian law enforcers would also turn to Russia to have the mastermind behind Vonronenkov's murder extradited to Ukraine.
Denis Voronenkov was gunned down downtown Kyiv March 23, 2017. Voronenkov’s guard was also wounded but still managed to shoot back at the attacker, effectively wounding him as well. The contracted killer has later died of his wounds at a local hospital. Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko said that the shooter was a citizen of Ukraine Parshov, born1988.
