GDP grew by 2.4% in Q1

In the first quarter of the year 2006, the gross domestic product of Ukraine grew by 2.4%.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuri Yekhanurov disclosed this, opening the government session today.

“The preliminary information confirms that the Ukraine’s GDP in the first quarter grew by 2.4%”, - the Prime Minister said.

He added that in March 2006 the GDP made up 4%, compared with March of 2005.
