A third of industrial enterprises directors expect that the situation in the country will improve in the nearest half-year.

These are the results of a poll carried out by the Institute for Economic Studies and publicized at a press conference in UNIAN on Tuesday.

In particular, according to Institute head Ihor Burakovskiy, some 33.6% of those polled expect that the economic situation in the country will improve. Some 21.7% of respondents believe that the situation will get worse in the nearest six months.

Besides, some 41.8% of those polled plan to increase their output in the nearest three months, some 37% do not plan to change production volumes, and some 21.2% plan to trim the output.

The poll was carried out among 300 directors of industrial enterprises in Kyiv, the Kyiv, Lviv, Khmelnytskiy, Odessa, and Kharkiv Oblasts during April 15-30 of the current year.
