Within several days, the work on the 2007 Budget preparation will be completed, Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych states, according to the press-office of the Cabinet of Ministers.
While opening the Government session the Prime Minister has commissioned the Finance Ministry to complete the final 2007 Budget version till November 20 and to submit it to the Verkhovna Rada by the beginning of the following week.
Touching upon separate issues of the budget process the Head of Government focused attention on the necessity of restoring the tax base up to the level determined by the Ukrainian legislation.
“Additional income withdrawals of our enterprises shall not be allowed. We know perfectly well the result of it – bankruptcy of state monopolies. It cannot be tolerated”, Viktor Yanukovych stressed.
The Head of Government has also commissioned the leaders of the Fuel & Energy Ministry of Ukraine and Ministry of Transport of Ukraine timely to form financial plans of state monopolies “Ukrzaliznytsya” and National Stock Company “Naftogaz of Ukraine”.
“The losses of these enterprises shall be enclosed in tariffs. We shall not repeat an old experience when indirect taxes have been increased”, Prime Minister said.
