Poltava Oblast leadership has invited California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to attend Sorochynskiy Yarmarok trade fair.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, deputy Poltava oblast governor Andriy Baranov said this to journalists on Friday.
According to him, today, during a training of Poltava rescuers, which was watched by representatives of the National Guard of California (USA), the deputy governor, on behalf of Poltava Oblast governor Valeriy Asadchev, passed the invitation to the California governor.
A.Baranov expressed a hope that A.Schwarzenegger will agree to arrive in Ukraine.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the delegation from California arrived in Ukraine on June 1. The aim of the visit is to share experience and methods of extinguishing forest fires.
The National Sorochynskiy Yarmarok trade fair is due to take place on August 19-23.
