He lost the "feeling of where to stop"?

On June 12, Volodymyr Pavliuk, on demand of the leadership of Novy Kanal TV, resigned as chief editor of “Reporter” news program.

Mykhaylo Shamanov was introduced as acting chief editor of the news program.

According to the information of Telekritika, V.Pavliuk was sacked after he showed in his program an unofficial recording of the statement by Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, who emotionally says “Everything is lost!”. The reel was taken from the Internet, and was showed in a Reporter program on June 8.

“Yes. The program appeared on Monday. The conversation with the leadership was long and boring. I was asked to write an application for resignation, and I wrote it”, the journalist said.

“Volodymyr Pavliuk lost the feeling of where to stop”, said Olha Balaban, head of the Novy Kanal TV press-service. Balaban confirmed that the reason of the resignation was the Prime Minister’s words “Everything is lost!”, showed in the program. At the same time, she refutes any political pressure on the television.

“You cannot use reels from the Internet in serious news programs. We do not welcome it even in entertaining programs. Moreover, in this given case it was absolutely ungrounded”, Balaban explained the stance of the TV-channel.
