Ukraine celebrates Medical Worker Day

President Victor Yushchenko took part in a gathering held today at the National Opera of Ukraine in Kiev on the occasion of the Medical Worker Day, according to the President`s press-office.

Speaking to those present Victor Yushchenko congratulated them on their professional holiday, which is celebrated annually on the third Sunday of June.

Also on the occasion of Medical Worker Day President Yushchenko presented national decorations to doctors, who made a significant contribution into the development of healthcare in Ukraine.
