Deputy chief of the Lebedyn District State Administration in Sumy region, Ivan Lehkyi, was shot while hunting.
The incident was initially reported to law enforcers at 10:38 by an ambulance team that had arrived on the scene in the forest area outside the village of Moskovsky Bobryk, head of the regional PD press service Elvira Bihanova reported.
"The victim was identified immediately. This was a deputy chairman of the local district administration,” the report reads.

Police vow to report on the developments in determining the main version of the incident.
