More than 90% of Ukrainians are for canceling of the deputy immunity.

These are results of the all-Ukrainian telephone poll “An attitude of Ukrainians towards canceling of the deputy immunity” carried out by Gorshenin’s Institute in July, 2009.

Particularly, according to the data passed to UNIAN, some 90.2% of those polled are for the complete canceling of the deputy immunity. At the same time some 71.8% of respondents are sure in necessity of this step and some 18.4% of those polled are probably sure. Some 4.5 % of those polled are against complete canceling of the deputy immunity.

According to the results of the research, the majority of the citizens of Ukraine (some 65.3%) believe that the canceling of the deputy immunity will promote strengthening of the legality in the state. The one third of citizens (some 33.8%) are sure in it and some 31.5% of the respondents have an answer “probably, yes” concerning this case. Some 25.8% of citizens of Ukraine have an opposite point of view. Out of them some 7.1% believe that the canceling of the deputy immunity will not promote the strengthening of legality in the state and some 18.7% of those polled believe that it will not probably promote strengthening of legality in the state.

Gorshenin’s Institute carried out all-Ukrainian telephone poll “An attitude of Ukrainians towards canceling of the deputy immunity” on July 1-2, 2009 in Oblast centers of Ukraine, in Kyiv and Sevastopol. 1000 respondents aged over 18 years were polled. The error margin makes up 3.2%.
