President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko left for Lithuania in order to take part in the celebrations on the occasion of the thousandth anniversary of Lithuania.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, in accordance with the program of the visit, President of Ukraine will award President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus with Order of Freedom.
At the same time V. Yushchenko will meet with newly elected President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite and after that he will communicate with representatives of Ukrainian mass media.
Moreover, the President of Ukraine will take part in opening ceremony of the monument to thousandth anniversary of Lithuania and will get acquainted with reconstructed palace of Grand Dukes of Lithuania.
V. Yushchenko will return to Ukraine the same day.
