Ukrainian banks lost UAH 10 billion

In January-June of this year Ukrainian banks had losses of UAH 10.2 billion, at the same time the profit of banks made UAH 5.3 billion for six months of 2008.

It is said in the report, published at the official website of the National Bank of Ukraine.

According to NBU reports, their income reached UAH 72 billion while expenses exceeded UAH 82.2 billion. Bank reserves went up to UAH 29.1 billion. In June 3 bank licenses were granted and 22 bank branches were liquidated.
