Poroshenko forecasts abrupt rise in petrol prices

Petro Poroshenko, chief of the parliamentary committee for finance and banking activities, forecasts that in January Ukrainian consumers should get ready to an abrupt rise in prices, first of all, on oil products.

      According to the press-service of the People’s Union Our Ukraine, this is connected with attempts of the government to agree fixed prices with oil companies, which has already caused fuel deficit in several regions of the country.

      As UNIAN reported earlier, oil companies agreed with Deputy Prime Minister Andriy Kliuyev to restrict petrol prices at their filling stations. In its turn, the Cabinet of Ministers promised to provide them with priviledges.
