Naftogaz will import 7.6 billion cubic metres of gas until the end of the year and another 7 bcm in the first quarter of next year, the head of the Ukrainian state energy firm said on Friday, according to Reuters.

Naftogaz chief Oleh Dubyna also said it would pay on time for its November and December gas bills. Rows with Moscow over gas prices, volumes and debts have led before to supply cuts to Europe which gets a fifth of its gas from Russia via Ukraine.
