Lawmaker Yevhen Kushnaryov died as a result of a firearm wound, which he got during hunting on 16 January.
UNIAN was told about this by Health Ministry’s press secretary Uliana Lozan.
As reported earlier by UNIAN, Kushnaryov was wounded while hunting on Tuesday.
He lost a lot of blood and is currently in intensive care in the Izyum town hospital in the Kharkiv Region. It is impossible to transfer him to another hospital because of a very low blood pressure. Every hour doctors gathered for a consultation, all surgeries were postponed.
A brigade of expert in resuscitation arrived from Germany in the afternoon.
The Izyum inter-district prosecutor`s office in the Kharkiv Oblast of Ukraine opened a criminal investigation into what appears to be an accidental wounding of Yevhen Kushnaryov, a parliamentarian and a high-ranking member of the Party of Regions of Ukraine, the UT-1 television channel reported on Tuesday evening.
Kushnaryov was supposedly wounded by his friend, a deputy director of a Kharkiv plant, Oleksandr Nechyporenko of the Kharkiv regional administration said.
