Level of industrial production reaches 1990 performance

The 2006 level of industrial production reached the 1990 level, First Vice Prime Minister, Finance Minister Mykola Azarov said, according to Ukrinform.

According to him, industrial output reached 100.8% in 2006 versus the level of 1990. Still, he said, the level of agricultural production is rather low. In 2006 it constituted 63% of the 1990 figure.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in December 2006 Ukraine`s industrial production grew by 12% versus December 2005 and grew by 6.2% over eleven months of 2006, comparing to the 2005 relevant period.
