Ukraine forbade import of animal production from Israel and Jordan

Ukraine forbade the animal production import from Israel and Jordan due to an outburst of the foot-and-mouth disease in these countries.

According to the press-service of the State Veterinary Medicine Department, by the official information of the International Epizootic Bureau, animals falling ill with the foot-and-mouth disease were registered in Israel and the Kingdom of Jordan.

Considering this information, the State Veterinary Medicine Department forbade the import of animal production from the territory of Israel (since 10 January 2007) and from the territory of Jordan (since 18 January 2007).
