Yushchenko allowed privatization of Ukrtelecom

President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko has signed Law #580-V “On Introduction of Amendments into Some Laws of Ukraine”, which was adopted by the parliament on 11 January 2007. The law lifts ban on the privatization of “Ukrtelecom” OJSC and the Odessa Port Plant.

According to the President`s press-office, the President vetoed the previous edition of the law, adopted by the parliament on 6 December, and proposed to introduce a number of amendments. The parliament adopted the new edition of the law, including all the proposals of the President.
