Mechanism of free economic zones justified itself

Prime Minister of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych is convinced that the mechanism of free economic zones and territories of priority development has justified itself.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, the Prime Minister said this to journalists in Donetsk today.

“The FEZ and TPD mechanism in Ukraine has justified itself. It was ruined by the year 2005 only due to politicizing this process and a populism of certain politicians. Of course, now it’s hard to regain the confidence of investors”, the Prime Minister said. He added that, due to wiping out FEZ and TPD, Ukraine’s regions failed to receive significant investments, which influenced the social and industrial spheres.
