Akhmetov’s SCM to take part in contest on Ukrtelecom

“System Capital Management” close corporation has intent to take part in the contest on the sale of a 10% shareholding of “Ukrtelecom” OJSC.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, SCM president, tycoon lawmaker Rinat Akhmetov claimed this in Donetsk yesterday after a session of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for economics policy.

Asked by journalists whether he plans to buy an Ukrtelecom shareholding, R.Akhmetov said this is a question more to SCM than to him.

“But I would like to tell you that if they put for sale a shareholding, a 10% shareholding, the SCM company has all grounds to participate and to win”, he added.
