Journalist Anatoliy Shynkarenko, chief of TV 9 Kanal news service, was beaten for his professional activities in Dnipropetrovsk.

UNIAN was told about this at the television’s press-service.

In particular, after member of Oblast Council Victoria Shvedova was appointed as acting chief of Dnipropetrovsk’s TV 51 Kanal, there appeared a conflict between the new chief and the local journalist trade union, as the new leadership began to illegally sack employees.

The 9 Kanal press-service stresses that after journalists of other mass media began to elucidate this conflict, they were pressed.

In particular, according to the information of the press-service, A.Shynkarenko was caught at a street and violently beaten.

The press-service disclosed that the journalist was assaulted by the husband of V.Shylova and “several hooligans”, who demanded to stop elucidating the situation at the TV 51 Kanal.

In addition, the press-service stressed, the local police department does not take any actions and describes the situation as a mere everyday scuffle.
