Poroshenko elected as chief of the NBU Council

Petro Poroshenko, Our Ukraine faction lawmaker and chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee for finances and banking activities, has been elected the chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Council.

      UNIAN was told about this by a source, close to banking circles.

      P.Poroshenko replaced on this post Valeriy Herts (he was elected as the NBU Council chief on 9 September 2006).
