Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych participated at the ceremony of granting the Antonov Aircarft Design and Manufacturing Complex (ADMC) with a certificate for a new regional passenger plane AN-148, according to the government’s press-office.
Pronouncing his speech during the ceremony the Head of the Government stated gratitude to the former chief designer of the Antonov ADMC Petro Balaguyev under the leadership of which the construction and manufacture of the aircraft started as well as to all staff of enterprises involved into the work at AN-148.
According to Prime Minister, today’s event is the future of Ukrainian economics and potential of Ukraine’s aircraft constructors hasn’t far been exhausted with the project yet.
The Head of the Government informed that this creation is a result of broad cooperation with enterprises of other countries and in particular with Russia.
Integration processes around the world show that first we should unite our Ukrainian manufactures. And afterwards the next step, being under consideration now, is possible which is merging with our Russian partners, Viktor Yanukovych announced.
Also Prime Minister stated his assurance that first ordered by Kazakhstan AN-148 planes will be produced and delivered timely according to the arrangement achieved during the Head of the Government’s visit to Astana in February last year.
