Yevhen Bakulin has been appointed as chairman of board of Naftohaz Ukrayiny NJSC.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, Fuel-Energy Minister of Ukraine Yuri Boyko claimed this after a government’s session today.

Asked why namely Ye.Bakulin was appointed as chairman of board, and not Volodymyr Yakubenko (top deputy chairman of board of Naftohaz), Yuri Boyko said: “This was the decision of government”.

As UNIAN reported earlier, former Naftohaz chief Volodymyr Sheludchenko sent in his resignation from the post of Naftohaz Ukrayiny chief on 21 February.

UNIAN Note. Yevhen Bakulin, 51, headed Ukrhazvydobuvannia subsidiary since September of 2006, and since December of the last year he became a member of Naftohaz board.
