Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and President of Kirghizia Kurmanbek Bakiev discuss prospects of bilateral protocol on access to commodity and service markets necessary for completing the process of Ukraine’s accedence to WTO by telephone, according to the government’s press-office.

      Kirghizstan remains the only member state of the Working Group on Ukraine’s accedence to WTO which has so far not signed a bilateral protocol with Kyiv.

      Viktor Yanukovych and Kurmanbek Bakiev have discussed an opportunity to regulate customs rate of some commodity groups. The conversation concerned possible ways on adjusting problem issues emerged as a result of Ukraine’s withdrawal from the “trouble zone” on 1 January 1992. Ukraine has submitted its proposals on complex regulation of these issues to Kirghizia.
