President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada his variant of amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for the Year 2007”.
Presidential Secretariat’s social-economic development service chief Oleksander Shlapak claimed this to journalists today.
According to an UNIAN correspondent, he noted that earlier the President sent a letter to the government and the Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada with a proposal to prepare an agreed project of amendments to the state budget-2007 due to the growth of minimal salary and living wage. However, according to the Presidential Secretariat, this issue was not agreed.
“The main difference between the two draft laws is that we propose not to increase the budget deficit, while the government insist on it”, O.Shlapak said.
