Criminal case brought on fact of derailment of Dnipropetrovsk-Kyiv train

The Kyiv Oblast Prosecutor’s Office brought a criminal case on the fact of derailment of “Dnipropetrovsk-Kyiv” train #168.

UNIAN was told about this by Kyiv Oblast prosecutor Yuri Haysynskiy.

According to him, the criminal case was brought on article 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the security movement regulations).

5 out of 10 carriages of “Capital Express” passenger train #168 were derailed and turned upside-down near “Rosava” station of the Kaharlytskiy district of the Kyiv Oblast at 22.15 on May 2.

As a result of the accident, a section of the railroad was partly destroyed. Nobody died and was taken to hospital. Passengers were taken to Kyiv by another train. The reason of the accident is under investigation.
