Ukraine may refuse from meat import

Agricultural Policy Minister of Ukraine Oleksander Baranovskiy is convinced that by the end of the year Ukraine may refuse from the meat import. He disclosed this to journalists today.

According to an UNIAN correspondent, O.Baranovskiy noted this year they forecast a growth of the meat production, in particular, pork. Thus, during 4 months of 2006, Ukraine increased meat production by 19% compared with the last year.
