Artem Tymchenko, editor-in-chief of “Establishment” Zaporizhzhya newspaper, the office of which was fired upon this night, is convinced that the incident is connected with journalist activities of newspaper employees.

He claimed this in an interview to an UNIAN correspondent today.

“We believe that the reason of the crime was the journalist activities, the position of “Establishment” newspaper, which focuses on journalist investigations”, A.Tymchenko claimed.

At the same time, the editor stressed that this incident was not the first, which happened to the newspaper recently.

“We have information that the whole circulation of the last issue of “Establishment” weekly, as well as the whole circulation of “Iskra” newspaper, which are members of the same media-holding, were bought by unknown people. We are trying to find out by whom and for what reason”, he said, adding that both newspapers published a series of articles on similar topics.

This night, unknown people fired at the office of “Establishment” weekly in Zaporizhzhya.

All the windows on the ground floor of the building, where the editorial office is situated, were broken with shots from a submachine gun.

According to preliminary information, nothing was stolen from the building.
