Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Commissioner Nina Karpachova met with Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Amangeldy Zhumabayev.
According to Karpachova’s press-service, the sides discussed a wide range of Ukrainian-Kazakh relations, however, the main attention was paid to the “phosphorus catastrophe”, which happened in the Lviv Oblast.
In particular, N.Karpachova proposed the Kazakh side to find an opportunity to invigorate the children, who suffered from the toxic spill.
The Kazakh Ambassador noted that his country will undertake the responsibility in case if its guilt is proved. At the same time, she assured the Ukrainian Ombudswoman that, regardless of conclusions of the special commission, Kazakhstan is ready to help suffered Ukrainians.
