Moldavian singer Natalia Gordienko won “New Wave –2007” in Jurmala
A Ukrainian duet occupied the third place
Moldavian singer Natalia Gordienko won “New Wave-2007”, the 6th international contest of young singers, which finished on Monday evening in Jurmala.
According to RIA Novosti, N. Gordienko got the first prize – 50 thousand dollars.
Kazakh group RinGo, and Marina, singer from Poland, got the prize from Alla Pugacheva – 50 thousand dollars. The singer from Latvia, Erglis, took third place and got the prize of 30 thousand of dollars. The same prize got Barcelona, a duet from Ukraine.
The musical contest “New Wave” took place in Jurmala for the 6th time. 21 thousand people visited the night concerts of “New Wave” this year. According to the calculations of the Jurmala Duma, the present contest brought to the city around a million of lats (1.8 million of dollars) of the net profit.
